How do we get started?

When you first make contact I will have a brief chat with you over the phone. This will give you an opportunity to ask me anything you think you need to know and give me an opportunity to give you some information. If you decide you would like to meet me we can arrange an appointment. All appointments are made following an informal chat and not via email.

The first meeting - of half an hour - is free for adults and supervisees.

After we have met if you want to come for counselling / psychotherapy / art therapy we will then agree the time and fee.

Each counselling / psychotherapy session is an hour long. The frequency of the sessions - usually weekly - is agreed at the beginning and will be reviewed regularly.

The first session ......

During the first session I will ask you for contact details and some background information. I will also explain confidentiality, the cancellation policy and mutually agree an initial number of sessions. From that point on you are 'in the driving seat' and it is my responsibility to support you in exploring the areas of your life you wish to understand and make sense of.
